Robert "Memphis Bob" Kettle, 58, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Janesville, WI, Bob worked for General Motors for 31 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of UAW #2209. Memphis Bob's passion was his love for music He enjoyed collecting guitars, NASCAR memorabilia, listening to Rock 104 and supporting the local musicians, and spending time with his family and friends. Memphis Bob touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. Surviving are his loving wife of 34 years, Mary Kettle of Fort Wayne, son, Brian (Kristine) Kettle of Janesville, WI, brother, John (Kathy) Kettle of Janesville, WI, grandson, Devon Kettle of Janesville, WI, sister in law, Nola Kettle of Columbia City his close and best friend "Jamaica" Bob Kulas, and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by parents, William and Yvonne Kettle, and brother, Richard Kettle. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 7 pm at D.O. McComb and Son's Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd. with calling beginning at 2 pm. D.O. McComb and Son's handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the United Way of Allen County. The family would ask you to honor Bob by wearing your tie dyed clothes. To sign the online guest book, go to www.mccombandsons.com.
