Richard H. "Fafa" Hively, 80, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011at his home. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked as a Superintendent of Packaging with Falstaff Brewery for 34 years. He was a past member of Eagles Lodge for 30 years. He took care of Foster Children for 40 years. After working for Falstaff, he served as Director of Transportation and Maintenance for Goodwill Industries for 5 years retiring in 1995. He is survived by his son, Richard "Dan" Hively of Wolcottville; daughter, Sandra (Gary) Hensler of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Gary (Andrea) Hensler, and Apryl (Andy) Wagner both of Fort Wayne; 4 great-grandchildren; special niece, Marie Cupa of Fort Wayne; and best Friend, Jeff Becker of Fort Wayne. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Hively; parents, Ferman and Margaret Hively; and sister, Virgeane Smith. Service is 10am Monday, February 14, 2011 at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. Calling from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the funeral home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
