Larry L. Thompson , 71, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012. Born in Wyandotte, MI, Larry retired from Minnich Manufacturing after 23 years as a machinist. He was honest, hardworking, goodhearted and ornery and enjoyed camping and reading. Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years Nancy Thompson of Fort Wayne, daughters, Lisa (Teresa Mantock) Thompson of Fort Wayne, Brenda (Steve) Wall of Corunna, Diana (Dave Caley) Burnworth of Huntington, mother, Willadene Thompson, of Fort Wayne, brother, Robert (Bob McAfee) Thompson of Las Vegas, NV, sisters, Carol Parrish of Summer Shade, KY, Valerie (David) Hague of Albion, Brenda (James) Stout of Clemmons, NC, grandchildren, Brandy, Naomi, Heather, and Brittni, great grandchildren, Sara, Ryan, Jr., and Riley. Service is 10 a.m. Friday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service by Waynedale Lodge No. 739, F.& A.M. at 7:30 p.m. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco, Indiana.
