Brian "Woody" Woodfill, 44, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital. Born on February 29, 1968 in South Bend, Brian graduated from Bishop Luers High School and attended Indiana University. Brian had been working for Comcast. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling, I.U. golfing, cards, going to Komet hockey games, but most of all he loved being with his family and friends. Brian's sense of humor was "one of a kind" and he will be deeply missed by all who know him. Surviving are his loving wife of 19 years, Amy (Bogenschutz) Woodfill of Fort Wayne, children, Samuel, Michael, Sarah, and Casey Woodfill, mother, Ann Woodfill of Fort Wayne, brothers, John Woodfill, Michael (Becca) Woodfill both of Fort Wayne, brother, Ben (Dana) Woodfill of Fishers, sister, Jill (Tony) Iannetti of Grabill, many nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by father, Kent Woodfill. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue Tuesday, May 29, 2012 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Samuel, Michael, Sarah, and Casey's Education Fund, checks payable to Amy Woodfill or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
