Cherie (Smith) Ladig

Cherie was one of the best caregivers at KinderCare! She cared for 3 of my children and did a wonderful service to children. I remember her hearty laugh and her upbeat attitude.

How much I loved to drive those back roads from Paulding to Blackhawk! I think I knew the way from age 4! The thrill of ringing the bell or knocking and hearing Aunt Cherie laugh and say "Welll!"
Running to "The Closet" to get to the "Take apart Car" before Steve...Do you know how many times I wished I had one of those for my kids and Grandbaby?? Sitting at the table while Aunt Cherie had coffee, just listening to her tell stories and hearing how happy she was about the things you all did! Taking walks around Blackhawk, trips to the pool. Have you ever been to someones house that had a wonderful scent all its own? That's your old house for me! Spending some time in the summers there made it seem like home! There are some fabulous memories from my childhood that I would NEVER trade, and I hold them very close to my heart and let them comfort me right now.
I am SO Very sorry that my family and I cannot make the trip to pay our respects, so sorry it hurts, guys!
