So Sorry to hear about your loss, What a great man all the way around. Two things I remember other then the bus trip was him so tall and proud walking around the play ground with a kick ball under his arm after we kicked it over the fence to many times. :-) and him getting into his little Honda Civic car. It always made me smile to see a tall man in such a small car. Several of us

Several of us that went to school together are still very good friends and talk about him with fondness when we talk about our Jr high years. Thanks to the family for alowing us to share our thoughts and memories.

I was saddened to hear of Doc's passing! Heaven received another angel! He touched countless young lives in his teaching career! He was such a wonderful man and so generous. He was the BEST teacher I ever had! He gave us that had him as a teacher so many wonderful experiences and memories of junior high at St. Mary's! Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. May God's love envelope you and give you peace!

So sorry to hear of the loss of a great man and terrific teacher. I will never forget Doc, standing in front of the classroom and always encouraging you to do your best. We all loved the field trips in the yellow bus and remember them well. I did have the pleasure of running into him years later and being able to chat with him as a professional adult and he still inspired me.
Thank you Doc for everything you taught us in the classroom and how to be better people!

I thank God I was able to cross paths with such a great man. May God give the entire Fowerbaugh family peace and the awareness of how many people Doc positively touched throughout his lifetime.

Doc,
Thank you! Thanks for every single ounce of encouragement, and helping me to strip away the things that became my excuses. Thanks for teaching me to question... You made an incredible difference in my life - educationally and spiritually.
Pray for me Doc...and give my Daddy my best, he loves you as much as I do (Maybe...)

To Doc's Loving Family - I am so sorry for your loss. I saw Doc at the funeral home a few years ago and held him in my arms as he wept because his dear Dotty was sick. He could not fathom what life would have been like without her; a profound (continuous) message that resonated from him about marital love. I pray for all of you and ask that as you learn to breathe here without him, you remember joy, all the good things, and can look foward to being together again.
All my best,
Lucy (Meehan) Siebenaler
Proud Student of P. Richard Fowerbaugh, PhD
P.S. - I was one of the lucky ones in Huntington to benefit from that "big yellow bus."

I am truly saddened by the passing of Dr. Fowerbaugh. On behalf of myself and the Brownlee family he will be missed. I remember him coming along with his wife to my own fathers funeral Wilbert Brownlee. He was my teacher and principle at Cathedral school. I hope and pray that the Fowerbaugh family will heal through this tough time. .sincerely, Wanda Brownlee

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Fowerbaugh was a fantastic teacher and a special man. I went to St. Mary's for eight years...ending with Doc. He was one of few teachers who came to my father's funeral when he was killed in a crash when I was a freshman in high school. It meant so much to me and my family that he would take the time to do that for us. He was a great man and he will be missed.
