Memories & Candles
My condolences to the entire Woodfill family. I played hockey with Brian's brother, John. Brian always had a smile on his face and was an all around great guy to talk with whenever I got a chance to converse with him at a gathering. We will miss that great smile Brian, but the memories will live on...

Dear Amy and family,
I'm so glad Glen e mailed us about this web site. It was fun to get to look at the pictures and imagine your lives together as we watched your kids grow up via these pictures. This has been such a shock, I'm sure you're still trying to get your feet back under you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we pray your memories will be a comfort to you during this difficult time. We hope to see you again soon. Love, Jenia and Paul

I only got to know for a few short years, but the memories of St. Pat's and Bishop Luers will last a lifetime. For myself and my family, our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

To the Woodfill families, I am so sorry for your loss. I used to live next door to you on Taber until 1990, I was shocked to learn of Brian's passing. Please know that you're all in my thoughts and prayers. May God strengthen and keep you during this difficult time.

Brian had a lust for life and laughs. He and I met as the only two fourth graders to get their butt kicked on the football team. He llaughed when he should have been crying like me. We had immense fun in his van before heading to bowling or go egg something like Andy 's knee. He just laughed when I burned a chair in his basement and we danced on the icy rooftop for woodfest.

Amy & family, I was shocked and very saddened to hear about Brian's loss. I met Brian for the first time in 7th grade playing for the St. Pats/St. Therese football team. The main thing that I remember about Brian back then and through-out high school was his smile and good nature. After reading all the tributes, he hadn't changed. We will be thinking of you during this difficult time and to use a Kiwi term, Kia Kaha, Be Strong. Rest in Peace Brian.

Brian was one of my oldest friends, and this comes as quite a shock to hear of his passing. I can honestly say that I've never met a more generous, kind hearted and genuine person full of good cheer.
Brian and I were the only two fourth graders to earn a spot on the St. Pats/St. Therese football team. He and I used to get the crap kicked out of us every practice, and he would just laugh it off.

I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Brian. I have fond memories of Brian and the Woodfill family from my days at St. Pat's and their home on Taber St. May God Bless and comfort his family, wife and children during this difficult time.

I am stunned and saddened to hear the news of Woody's passing. I cannot think of a warmer, kinder human being. We shared many many laughs and about as many beers. I have so many fond memories: working at Ajax (is it dangerous to shoot pneumatic staple guns at each other?), cruising in the tan conversion van, hanging out on Taber, getting destroyed in high school wrestling.
Amy - you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Brian was a true original and will be missed. I am so sorry.

In ongoing memory of a good friend and classmate! We will all miss that beautiful ever-present smile that always made everyone else smile. God bless you Brian! God bless Amy and the children and give them strength and comfort. (I am upset that I cannot be with you for the services. I am 9 days away from moving up there, and can't find a way to swing it). You will be in my thoughts all day today and tomorrow . <3><3><3>

I remember Brian from the years at Luers and being a year behind him, I always found Woody to be an unassuming, good natured guy with a great sense of humour. He went out of his way to be friends with anybody he'd come to know. It was a priviledge to know him those brief years at Luers and he leaves behind a rich legacy of memories in the lives he touched.
Rest in Peace Woody, thank you for your friendship and memories, may you know Eternal Joy.

I met Brian back in 1995 while working with the Neighborhood Partnership. He was a very kind person that always had a way of making everyone feel special and important. He made a huge impact in many peoples lives for his accomplishments. Thanks for the memories Brian.

My dear Anne,
How sorry Kent and I were when we read about Brian. Kent remembers so well all the times that Kenny brought Brian and the other children to the store.
They were always so nice, so well behaved. I wish we could have known him better. I would love to have your email address so we can keep in touch.
Lots of hugs and our deepest sympathy...
Kent and Del Nelson

Last year Brian took care of my boyfriend Stephen (he was sick) so I could have dinner with the rest of his family (my cousin Amy) we had just drove 14 hours from Boston for the Indy 500. He took him home and gave him a brief history lesson on Indiana, etc... And then made sure he was securely in the room we were staying in and stayed home until we got there! My love and prayers go out to my extended family in Indiana. I will see you on Tuesday. Love you guys,
