Memories & Candles
I worked with Bill at Essex for years. He was my bowling partner. One of the sweetest guys you would ever met. Rest in peace, Bill.

I grew up with Bill and he was like a brother to me. We bowled together, played a lot of cards in the basement on the weekends, played a lot of baseball at Weiser Park, and both were die hard New York Yankee fans. Bill had a great sense of humor and there never was a dull moment when Bill was around. He will be greatly missed but his memories will live on forever. See you in Heaven good buddy. Steve Arnett

I have many fond memories from going on family vacations together. I especially remember Bill's love of nature and how he knew the name of every bird he saw. Scott and Ryan, I am so sorry for your loss. I will be keeping you both in my prayers.

I will always remember the deep love he had for his sons and his family. He enjoyed life and all of God's creation, especially birds and the National Parks of this country. He had a great smile that lit up his whole face and made others smile too.
I am sure he is singing in the greatest praise team ever today!

I used to sit across the aisle from Bill at IBM. We hit it off as Boilermaker fans and enjoyed our discussions around Purdue Football. Bill, Ryan and I ventured out to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl in 2001! That was a great time and I will never forget it. Thanks for your friendship Bill! Everyone we meet, makes an impact on our lives, no matter how big or small. May our Lord provide comfort and peace to those who've been touched by Bill's passing.

Terry and I will always remember the wonderful summers spent at the lake cottage. Thank you Bill for always making us feel so welcome, for the summer nights sitting around the fire pit, the great memories of boat rides, watching Scott and Ryan do their thing on the knee boards, and just some good ole family time. We pray that God's love will sustain the McDowell family during this very sad time and that you will find peace and condolence with all the memories shared.

We are so sorry for your loss, your Dad, Brother, and Son was a wonderful man, always caring for others and always had a big smile on his face. We always enjoyed getting together at the lake for family reunions, I know that my mom (Marcy Carpenter) loved her visits with the family at the lake.
Our hearts are sad with the loss of Bill, but we celebrate his life with many wonderful memories.
May God Bless and comfort you, knowing we will all be together again.
With Sympathy,
Betty Jean and Dallas

Debra, This is an old class mate of yours. I'm sorry for your loss. I had not seen your brother since grade school. I knew it was him the minute I saw his picture. His eyes always shined, thats the first thing you'de notice about him. Back in the day he was one of the nicest boys at Zion Lutheran. I know he'll be missed. God be with you and your family. The lake just won't be the same without him. He was a great uncle. I will miss his laugh the most. It was contagious. Summer will miss her uncle bill too. As much as he teased us both, we always knew how much he loved us.

We are saddened by Bill's passing at such a young age and offer our heartfelt sympathy to family and friends. Bill was a special part of the Arnett family. We shared many good times together. He and Steve would sing at the top of their lungs till we were sure the neighbors could hear them. To know Bill was to love him. He brought much sunshine to our family. Our love and prayers our with you.

The Bible tells us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May you find comfort in knowing that Bill is spending eternity with our heavenly Father and the promise that you will see him again. Our love and sympathy go out to you in your time of sorrow.

I was heartbroken to read of Bill's death this morning. I loved Bill. He was like a brother to me growing up. We always considered him "one of the family". I have thought about him so many times over the years and would have loved to see him again. Bill always held a "very special" place in my heart. He was truely one of the best childhood friends I ever had. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

I read a post on facebook recently about cousins being your first "best friends". I posted it again last night in your memory. It's true, we shared so many memories of our childhood, our grandparents, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and the lakes. We saw the losses of the people that we loved, marriages, and the births of our children. The many hours that we spent together - the four of us Me, You, Dick and Debbie and later joined by Mike
