I started work at IH in 1950. Jim started the next year. Jim lived on Florida Drive in a house with 4 or 5 other men. We were on the same Engine Lab golf team for several years along with Ollie Schnelker, Ron Ramsey and Bob Andersen plus others in various years. It makes me feel sad because those three were all good friends but are gone now.

Jim was a competitive person in everything he did. Later he switched

Dean, Dale and Renee,

I was saddened to hear about the death of your dad. I understand that his final years were a challenge for those closest to him, but he led a life filled with accomplishments and joys.

I will always cherish the childhood memories of our days at "the lake" in Michigan. I have vivid memories of Aunt Lou and Uncle Jim teaching us how to water ski, and fondly recall your dad's interest in photography and his special skills

Dear Pat,

I'am so sorry to hear of your loss.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Jim was always sincere and genuine in
his thoughts and suggestions for those
of us in the FW Camera Club. I can still
hear his voice.

Sincerely sorry, Bruce Bennett

You're in God's embrace now, Jim. Thank you for being my kind friend and boss all those years at International Harvester. May God bless your family at this time.

Pat- So sorry to read of Jim's death. I alwasys was glad to serve as camera club judge when he asked me knowing that I would be greated and helped by Jim. I counted him as a friend and where every I would meet him out in the city he would always say hello and he would bring me up on the camera club activities - I am going to miss his happy smile. I am down in Pharr, Texas for the winter and could not attend the service. Carl Hartup, retired Dirctor of Photography at the New-Sentinel.

Pat & Family,
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to make it out yesterday or today. Please know that you are in my thoughts & prayers. I will always remember Jim's graciousness whether it was in asking me to judge at club or in accepting critique of his images.
Sincerely,
Rick

Sorry for your loss. Jim was a great guy and fun to be with. He was also a great photographer. I regret that I could not make the funeral due to the weather.

My prayers and thoughts are with you

To the Jim Trainer Family,

I had the pleasure of working with Jim at both Navistar and then at Zollner. He was a true inspiration and has left a lot of memories with me.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dean, Dale and Renee',

Sorry to hear of the passing of your dad and my uncle Jim. I will never forget spending the 4th of July at grandma and grandpa's lake cottage in Michigan over the July 4th holiday and the tv was always tuned to watch Wimbledon. To this day, I find myself interested in Wimbledon because of your dad's passion for tennis. Those were great summers as our families all got together for the holiday and the biggest
